Annual Report 2005

Accomplishments:

The Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Visual Resources Association held its spring meeting on Thursday, August 25 in the Fine Arts Library at the University Pennsylvania. Following, we explored "Whimsical Works: The Playful Designs of Charles and Ray Eames" on exhibit at the Arthur Ross Gallery. Information about the exhibit may found at:

At the meeting, Susan Dreher, reported on the CCO workshop she attended at the Miami conference. Susan received an educational award to attend this workshop. Joan Beaudoin reported on several conference workshops and sessions, including “Professionalism” (Jeannine Keefer, a previous chapter member was a speaker), architecture and ARTstor. Furthermore, Heather Glaser, Mary Wasserman and Evan Towle attended the Greater New York Chapter meeting at Princeton on Friday, June 17. We reported what we learned about Almagest to other chapter members.

Several members of our chapter will be attendance at the 2006 VRA conference in Baltimore. We look forward to hearing their reports at our next spring/summer meeting.

Goals:

The Chapter will have its winter meeting currently in planning in early February.

The Chapter will elect a new Chairperson for 2006-2007.

Again, try to decide how to use previous year's dues in addition to this year's dues.
