Mid-Year Report 2005

Accomplishments:
Our spring meeting has been postponed until later this summer due to fact that Heather Glaser, our local chairperson, was out of the office on maternity leave for most of the spring.
At least one member of our local chapter, Susan Dreher, was able to attend the national conference in Miami. Susan received an educational award to attend the CCO workshop and will report on what she learned in the workshop and at the conference in general at our future meeting. Furthermore, Heather Glaser and Mary Wasserman will be attending the Greater New York Chapter meeting at Princeton on Friday, June 17. We will report what we learn about Almagest to the Philadelphia chapter members who cannot attend.
For local communication, we continue to have a Chapter web page for the membership list, minutes and reports: www.brynmawr.edu/Admins/DMVRC/vrap and a local list serve: vrap-l@brynmawr.edu.
Goals:
- Plan afternoon agenda for spring meeting to be held at the University of Pennsylvania.
- It has been raised that since our local chapter is quite small, usually +/- 5 attendees at each meeting, we consider having some joint programs with the ARLIS Delaware Valley Chapter. We will discuss this possibility at our next business meeting and consider a joint afternoon program for our fall meeting.
- Collect 2005 dues and decide how to use the 2004 and 2005 dues.
- Elect our 2006-2007 chairperson.
