The meeting was called to order.

Minutes of the March 18, 2009 meeting held in Toronto were corrected and approved.
The Treasurer’s report was approved.

Jodie Double sent thanks to the chapter for the raffle basket she won at the Toronto conference.

The proposal to bundle payments of chapter dues with national dues, via MemberClicks, and the proposal to use the services of a national VRA bursary for the treasury, instead of maintaining a local account, were discussed. If the chapter approves the option to bundle memberships, individuals will still be able to pay the two dues independently. We would have our own account with the VRA, if we choose to make use of the bursary.

It was pointed out that the proposals were separate issues that could be approved or rejected independently.

A motion to provide the option of bundling payments for chapter and national dues using MemberClicks was approved.

A motion to use the national VRA bursar arrangement was approved.

Macie Hall will merge the current bylaws with the VRA template, keeping the provisions in the current Mid-Atlantic Chapter Bylaws that are important to the Chapter. The Chapter Bylaws will need to conform to the bundled membership and bursar programs. The revisions need to be submitted to the VRA Board with the mid-year report, which is due July 1, 2009.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
