Business Meeting

Attendees: Dawn Feavyour, Frank Jackson (convener), Allen Norvak, Gail Norvak, Mary Alexander (note taker)
Frank Jackson called the meeting to order at 11:00a.m.
The minutes from March 26, 2011 (Minneapolis, MN) were approved.
Treasurer’s Report was given by Frank Jackson. There is a balance of $445.04 in the account.
New Business:
Suggestions for a location for the next meeting
An invitation to meet with ARLIS Southeast Chapter was extended by Gail Norvak. They will meet at Duke in the Fall. It may be near Atlanta in the following year. Ringling College of Art of Design (Sarasota, Florida) may be a possible location in the future. Allen Norvak will put the question out to the ARLIS listserv. (The ARLIS Chapter consists of North Carolinas, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, Alabama, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands. It does not include Arkansas). Sometimes the ARLIS Southeast Chapter meets with Texas chapter.
It was suggested that we rotate meetings with the ARLIS Southeast Chapter and SECAC.
The members agreed that this item should be discussed on the VRA South East Chapter’s listserv.
