Joint Fall meeting at RPI!
October 23 and 24th, 2008 there will be a joint meeting of two ARLIS chapters (Western New York and New England) and two VRA chapters (Upstate New York and New England) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY) which will coincide with the opening of RPI's new Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) on the Rensselaer campus.
We hope that those who have to travel long distances might want to come into town on Wednesday and we will arrange for those who are interested to meet for dinner and drinks at a local restaurant.
Information on directions, accommodations and campus parking will follow once everything is "set in stone".
It should be a great meeting and we hope you can make it your "Fall place to be"

Thursday October 23rd:
9:30 AM Registration, Coffee & light fare
10:00-12:00 Business meetings
12:30-2:00 Lunch 2:00-3:30 Lecture/presentation
3:30-4:00 Break, Coffee
4:00-5:30 Lecture/presentation
6:00 Dinner at the School of Architecture Gallery, followed by a short film (30 minutes) entitled "Sittin on a Million" http://www.mamefaye.com/ Produced by two graduates of RPI about the world famous Troy,NY madam, Mame Faye.
Friday October 24th:
9:00 AM Coffee & light fare
9:30-12:00 Tour and lecture/performance? in the newly opened EMPAC (Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center) building, designed by Nicholas Grimshaw & Partners. http://empac.rpi.edu/building/
12:00-1:30 Lunch
1:30-2:30 Presentation
