As the role of the visual resources professional continues to expand, digital humanities has emerged as an exciting, complementary field that leverages our deep expertise in digital imaging and metadata creation.
The goal of the Digital Humanities Special Interest Group is to build a professional network that supports open knowledge sharing and a spirit of technological adventure.
The DH SIG builds our network year-round with the following activities:
Programming at the annual VRA conference, such as digital humanities lightning rounds, providing SIG members with opportunities to present
Virtual meetups where members can share about projects and tools, feeling supported and inspired by like-minded colleagues
A membership directory, indexed by expertise in digital humanities topics and tools
